FIRST PERFORMANCE IN PALERMO<\/em><\/p>\n

The program explores the eras and sounds of the string and piano quintet through the baroque and contemporary.<\/p>\n

From the baroque Quintet for piano and strings Op. 56 No. 4 in E-flat major by Luigi Boccherini, <\/b>performed on the small cello and the 1830Wetzels table fortepiano<\/i> (which will be reopened after the latest restoration), one is catapulted into the contemporary Quintetto Sospeso<\/i><\/b> by Giovanni Sollima <\/b>, which, on the occasion of its recording on disc at the MARTHA recording studio, is being performed for the first time in concert in Palermo. The program will close with the latest work by young composer Carlotta Maestrini. <\/p>\n
