Italian Baroque

House Concert with Giuseppina Bridelli (mezzo-soprano) and Cinzia Guarino (harpsichord)

A House Concert with new sounds, in which Giuseppina Bridelli’s great voice and Cinzia Guarino ‘s refined touch on harpsichord accompany us on an intimate journey through seventeenth-century arias.

The program traverses some of the most intense pages of the early Italian and European Baroque, including cantatas, arias and laments that stage fiery passions, suspended sweetnesses, amorous torments and dramatic outbursts. From the expressive refinement of the Roman school to Venetian theatrical force and international elegance that looks beyond Italian borders, the evening will offer a journey full of contrasts and colors.

This is a valuable opportunity to be transported by two exceptional performers in an experience that combines musical refinement, emotion and intimacy-just as happened in seventeenth-century salons.
