MEETING WITH THE GRANDI MAESTRI
● SEMINAR

MARTHA – Music ART House Academy offers a seminar with the great pianist Anna Kravtchenko on the occasion of her concert for the concert season of the Amici della Musica in Palermo.

The meeting, which is open to all, aims to provide a close insight into the secrets behind the study of the piano repertoire, from technique to musicological analysis, with an important focus on the Romantic period.

Anna Kravtchenko, thanks to her extraordinary technical mastery and great experience, wants us to enter the pages of composers such as Schumann, Liszt and Tchaikovsky, with practical examples of study, and through listening to some important pages.

MARTHA and the Associazione Siciliana Amici della Musica are proud to collaborate on the event that will see Anna Kravtchenko perform live at the Politeama Garibaldi Theatre on 06 March 2023 at 17:15.

The performance of some pieces from the repertoire will be the starting point for an in-depth study of many topics including:

● How to approach a first reading of the score
● Which exercises can help to tackle the different virtuosic passages
● What are the study phases leading to performance
● Piano touch: how to conduct the various types of legato, staccato, portamento.
● Sound and timbres: how to learn to listen to your own sound and how to reproduce the sound you want
● Music editions, the interpretation of signs, notation and pedal.
● The tactus, pulsation and conducting of musical phrases

During the meeting, participants will have the opportunity to ask the Maestro questions on the topics discussed.

At the end of the seminar MARTHA will give a certificate of attendance.
